A grandmother's dizziness turned out to be symptoms of a deadly brain tumour - despite doctors initially misdiagnosing the symptom as depression.
Pamela Cook began feeling dizzy in March 2023 but was told by the doctor that she was suffering from depression, and was prescribed antidepressants. Her symptoms later worsened and after she underwent an MRI scan, doctors found Pamela had a tumour.
In November 2023, she was diagnosed with a glioblastoma - an aggressive and incurable form of brain tumour - and underwent surgery, followed by six weeks of chemo and radiotherapy. But just five months after the diagnosis, in February 2024, Pamela died, aged 65.
