The North East’s newest Greggs has opened its doors, creating 14 new jobs for the area.

The popular bakery chain, located at Durham Road Retail Park on North Moor Road, Sunderland, opened last Friday (November 28), offering customers their full range of much-loved classics.

The new shop, which features a “modern design with indoor seating” welcomes customers from 6am to 7pm, Monday through Saturday, and from 7am to 7pm on Sundays.

Greggs retail operations director Gillian Long said the opening of the new store has provided new jobs to people in the area.
