A woman has slammed her parents for giving her the 'worst name ever', and is now considering changing it for good. The 20-year-old, named Alone, suspects her birth parents chose this unusual moniker as a form of "punishment for being born". ‌

She shared that she was adopted at a young age, and her adoptive parents began referring to her as Athena, using it as a nickname. She said on Reddit: "Since I never had my name legally changed, my driver's license and all of my documents still have me as Alone. "Some people call me Allie for short, others call me Athena, but most people call me Alone. ‌

"The irony is that I'm not even lonely since I have a close circle of friends." ‌
