BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) - The owner of a day care center in Parrish accused of molesting teenage staffers is being sought after he failed to show up for his trial Monday, court records show.

Sanjay Das was required to appear Monday for the start of his trial. Das failed to appear, prompting Circuit Court Judge Stephen Whyte to issue a bench warrant for Das’ arrest.

Das, 58, owner of Country Cubs Day Care, was arrested in January 2024 for allegedly committing lewd and lascivious acts against two teenage girls who worked for him.
