Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth provoked outrage after posting an AI-generated image of a beloved children’s book character firing a rocket launcher at “narco terrorists” in boats.

On Sunday night, Hegseth posted a parody book cover of the “Franklin the Turtle” franchise with the title: “Franklin Targets Narco Terrorists.” In the image, Franklin is wearing U.S. military gear and attacking seafaring drug runners from a helicopter.

“For your Christmas wish list...” Hegseth wrote on X.

His post came after an explosive Nov. 28 Washington Post report about U.S. military strikes on alleged drug traffickers in the Caribbean Sea and eastern Pacific Ocean.
