Police in San Jose are investigating a fatal hit-and-run of a pedestrian as an intentional attack and have made an arrest, the department said Monday.
On Sunday just before 7:30 p.m., officers arrived at Winchester Boulevard and Tisch Way and found a woman lying in the roadway. She was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
Investigators located the vehicle in Santa Clara that was allegedly involved in the collision with the pedestrian and arrested the driver, Yanette Beas-Solorio, 34.
According to police, detectives believe the collision was an intentional act, but are still investigating.
Baes-Solorio was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of murder.
