A man was arrested early Sunday following a high-speed pursuit that crossed state lines, law enforcement officials said in a statement.

While attempting to stop a Dodge Ram pickup truck, New Hampshire State Police placed a call requesting assistance from the Maine State Police shortly after midnight, officials said.

New Hampshire authorities observed the truck speeding and driving erratically, and pursued the vehicle after the driver failed to stop for police. Additionally, police said, the driver rammed into a state police cruiser while attempting to flee the scene.
