A heartbroken mum has issued a 'one bad choice' Christmas message after her daughter was seriously injured by a teenage drink-driver in the Midlands.

Amelia was celebrating finishing her A-levels with friends when the car in which she was a passenger crashed into a tree on Weddington Lane and the A5 in Caldecot, Nuneaton, last summer.

The 18-year-old suffered a brain injury and spent nine days at University Hospital Coventry. Mum Victoria was by the side of her daughter praying she would survive.

When she came home, Victoria and her family became her carers. Now, every month, they travel across the country for medical appointments.
