Firefighters raced to a truck blaze in Perry Barr.

The fire engulfed a light goods vehicle on College Road at around 9am today, Tuesday, December 2.

Crews used hosereel water jets to bring the blaze under control.

There were no reported injuries.

A fire service spokesman told BirminghamLive: "Shortly after 9.10am we responded to College Road, Perry Barr .

"Two fire engines and a 4x4 brigade response vehicle from Handsworth and Perry Barr stations attended, the first arriving within four minutes of being mobilised.
