OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - With Thanksgiving weekend behind us, the biggest giving day of the year in the Omaha metro is here.

This Giving Tuesday , there are more than 500 nonprofits looking forward to your donations. Check out SHARE Omaha and SHARE Iowa for guidance to specific local organizations that are seeking your help.

SHARE Omaha reminds community members that giving any amount on Tuesday is a big help. Officials say they do not keep any percentage of the giving, it all goes straight to the nonprofits.

SHARE Omaha posted a video to social media to encourage people to give before the midnight deadline.
