FLINT, Texas — An East Texas family is celebrating Christmas early after a local mailman went above and beyond, turning a 9-year-old’s letter to Santa into a holiday surprise she will never forget.

Nine-year-old Abigail Baker received the surprise of a lifetime after mailing her Christmas wishes, hoping they would land her on the “nice list.”

“I just wanted to send my Christmas list so Santa could get me something on the list,” Abigail Baker said.

Her letter did not reach the North Pole. Instead, a local mailman discovered it and, in a true display of generosity, delivered the greatest gift of all — kindness.

“She put it in the mailbox, and two weeks later, some man showed up on the front porch. Was like, Hey, we got this for Abigail,” her mom Bayliey Nelson said.
