It was great being back at the Gate on Saturday for the next block of Prem and Champions Cup games, and the boys did us proud with a first-half try blitz that left Northampton Saints floundering in the early winter chill.

Clearly, the early 20-minute red card that reduced the opposition to 14 players helped , but Bristol took full advantage by using power and precision to showcase the very best of the ‘Bears way’. And even when the game returned to parity, they still scored two more fantastic tries to take an unassailable 35-0 lead into the break.
