A man was left pouring with blood before collapsing after an alleged robbery involving a broken glass bottle in Piccadilly Gardens .

Greater Manchester Police said the incident happened in the popular hotspot between 11.20pm and 11.30pm on October 15 this year. An argument initially broke out between a group of around 15 people.

During the argument, one man was seen to be holding a broken glass bottle, police added. This man ran from the scene, before another man followed him.

Both men turned onto the corner of Lever Street near the casino, where they then went out of view of CCTV. Then man who followed was then seen entering back into the footage with blood pouring from his ear.
