Aldi issued an urgent recall for one of its products that included a "do not eat" warning. It was discovered that one of the budget festive treats could possibly cause an allergic reaction in some consumers.
The German grocer issued a major recall for its Dairyfine Salted Caramel Filled Gonks as they contain peanuts, an ingredient not declared on the packaging. This means they pose a " risk" for those with an allergy to peanuts.
An allergy alert posted to the Standards Agency (FSA) has advised that the recall affects all dates of the 90g bags with the batch code 4061463276865. If shoppers have purchased the affected chocolate, they are being urged to return them to their nearest Aldi store where they will be provided with a full refund.
