Michigan State has a new head football coach and now, a $1 billion initiative, “FOR SPARTA”, to elevate athletic facilities.
FOR SPARTA, the capital initiative for MSU athletics as part of the university’s “Uncommon Will. Far Better World Campaign”, was announced Tuesday morning, a day after Michigan State formally announced Pat Fitzgerald as its next football coach . The $1 billion initiative is expected to thoroughly upgrade facilities and Michigan State’s status in the changing college athletics landscape.
