A man was found dead inside a car on a busy road, forcing police to close the route for almost 12 hours.

Officers were called to the scene on the B1107, which runs between Thetford and Brandon through Thetford Forest, at around 4.45am on Monday.

They found the body of a man in his 50s inside the vehicle.

The road remained blocked until 4pm .

A Suffolk Constabulary spokesman confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
