Marks and Spencer shoppers are raving over a 'smart' trench coat that looks much more expensive than its price tag. In fact, the high street number looks like it came straight out of Burberry.

The Checked Belted Longline Tailored Coat costs £90 but resembles styles from the luxury British heritage brand. Instead of copying a specific coat from Burberry to the letter, it takes inspiration from a few different pieces.

The M&S coat has a similar silhouette to Burberry's Long Cashmere Kensington Trench Coat , featuring a longline design and epaulettes on the shoulders. If you were to opt for the designer trench, it would set you back a cool £2,990.
