One woman has been taken to hospital with what police believe to be minor injuries after a two-car crash in a North East town.
The crash happened in Billingham at about 1pm today on Station Road at the junction of Wolviston Road. The incident sparked a major 999 response.
Three fire engines attended the scene as well as a number of ambulance vehicles.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "A woman has been taken to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries following a collision in Billingham.
"The collision happened around 1pm today on Station Road at the junction with Wolviston Road in Billingham.
"Two vehicles were involved, a Toyota Yaris and a Vauxhall Corsa. Both vehicles were recovered from the scene."
