DUNWOODY, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — The Dunwoody City Council denied a permit for Raising Cane’s to build double drive-thru lanes at its location on Ashford-Dunwoody Road near City Hall.

The council voted 6-1 against the permit.

Council members cited traffic concerns for neighboring properties as the reason for the denial.

The fast food restaurant will not be able to add the drive-thru service at this time.

“This drive-thru does not fit what the community expected,” Dunwoody Mayor Lynn Deutsch previously told Atlanta News First.
