After reportedly casting a large net in the search for their next head coach, it turns out the Toronto Argonauts didn’t have to look too far after all.
On Tuesday, the Argos announced they have hired Mike Miller as the team’s new head coach, promoting the man who has served as the team’s QB coach since 2022 and helped Chad Kelly become the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player in 2023.
Miller replaces Ryan Dinwiddie, who left the team to take over the Ottawa Redblacks last month.
The Argos reportedly contacted several CFL luminaries about the job opening, including Winnipeg’s Mike O’Shea — a former star Argos player, Hamilton executive Orlondo Steinauer, and Saskatchewan boss Corey Mace.
