Dressel was presented with a Community Safety Award from the department at the Nov. 11 Board of Trustees meeting for her efforts in having lock boxes installed at 97 of the 127 houses in The Crossings subdivision.
Strazzo said that once she heard about the program, Dressel took it upon herself to inform and sign up as many new residents as she could.
