A24 has released the trailer for Mother Mary , a new film from writer and director David Lowery featuring original music by Jack Antonoff , Charli XCX , and FKA twigs . The clip introduces the pop star Mother Mary (played by Anne Hathaway) as she navigates a reunion with her former costume designer Sam Anselm (portayed by Michaela Coel). Watch the trailer below.

Antonoff, Charli XCX, and FKA twigs wrote and produced music for Mother Mary . The songs are performed in the film by Hathaway. FKA twigs also acts in Mother Mary , as do Hunter Schafer, Atheena Frizzell, Kaia Gerber, Jessica Brown Findlay, Alba Baptista, Isaura Barbé-Brown, and Sian Clifford.
