A Glasgow veteran who has raised nearly £120,000 for charity has been recognised for his efforts. Terence “Terry” McCourt has raised the money to support SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, for 15 years.
The 67-year-old is also due to receive an MBE for his services to veterans in Scotland in January, but before he heads to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the grandad was thrilled to be recognised by the charity , which he dedicates so much time to, at a ceremony in Stirling.
The Knightswood man is one of nine people across Scotland who were celebrated for supporting serving military personnel, veterans, and families at SSAFA’s Regional Recognition Awards.
