CINCINNATI —

One person is dead and another was taken to the hospital after a crash in Middletown on Monday.

It happened around 12:08 p.m. when Middletown police officers responded to a serious crash along Grand Avenue and Breiel Boulevard. Advertisement

Officers and fire units on scene found two vehicles involved in a crash.

One driver was taken to Atrium Medical Center where they later died. Their identity has not yet been released.

The driver of the other vehicle involved was also taken to Atrium Medical Center with minor injuries.

Middletown Police and the the Butler County Severe Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team (START) are investigating this crash.

The exact cause is still under investigation.
