A pedestrian was hit and killed by a pickup truck in Gloucester, Massachusetts, early Tuesday morning, according to police.
Gloucester police and fire said they responded to a report of a pedestrian who had been struck by a motor vehicle on Rogers Street near the intersection with Manuel F. Lewis Street around 5:40 a.m. Tuesday.

When they arrived, emergency crews found a pedestrian suffering from serious injuries. The pedestrian, identified by police as 57-year-old Randy Streeter, of Rockport, was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to Addison Gilber Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
