One person is dead following a house fire in Boscawen, New Hampshire, on Monday night.
The Boscawen Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at 14 Gage St. at 9:41 p.m. Monday, authorities said. Firefighters arriving at the scene searched the home and found a man in a bedroom on the second floor. The man was taken out of the home through a window and life saving measures were attempted but were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim's name is being withheld pending an autopsy, which will be conducted by the chief medical examiner.
Several neighboring fire departments assisted Boscawen in extinguishing the fire.
