COLUMBUS, Ohio — After defeating Michigan on the road, Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin paid a visit to patients at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
The star quarterback and Heisman Trophy candidate took the time to spread holiday cheer and surprise children with headphones, Ohio State gear and gift cards.
“It was awesome to see all those kids and be a moment of their day,” Sayin said. “It was awesome to see them.”
When he was 10 months old, Sayin suffered third-degree burns. At his first visit to the hospital, Sayin, along with his mother, toured the inpatient and outpatient clinics of the Burn Center.
“I had third-degree burns on my back and had to get some care from the hospital in San Diego. I am extremely grateful for them,” Sayin said. “Being able to go to the Burn Center was
