AUSTIN, Texas — Nonprofits across Central Texas are making a renewed push for community support as Giving Tuesday -the global celebration of generosity that follows the Tuesday after Thanksgiving- gets underway.

Austin-based nonprofit I Live Here I Give Here is leading the local effort to connect residents with causes they care about. The organization -which focuses on strengthening philanthropy in Central Texas- highlights hundreds of charities each year and encourages year-round giving.

Donors can browse more than 700 local nonprofits through the Amplify ATX website.
