OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - American National Bank , based in Omaha, will soon be merging with Associated Banc-Corp in a deal estimated at $604 million.
The Wisconsin-based company, headquartered in Green Bay, made the announcement Monday. According to a release, the deal is part of the company’s growth strategy and will give it the No. 2 bank in the Omaha market as measured by deposit share.
“As of September 30, 2025, American National reported total assets of $5.3 billion, total loans of $3.8 billion and total deposits of $4.7 billion,” the release reads.
American National Bank was founded as The Bank of Florence in 1856. Today, it has 33 branches across Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota.
