Hamden Animal Control is looking for whoever abandoned a dog in town.

The agency posted on Facebook Tuesday that the dog had been found abandoned in a park with a bag of dog food.

The dog was found in Mill Rock Park, according to police.

"She was waiting patiently for her owner to come back, but they never came. She deserves better," the post read.

Animal control officers are asking anyone who may recognize the pup to call them at (203) 230-4080.
