A serious motor vehicle collision has closed a stretch of the Perimeter Highway southwest of Winnipeg, near Oak Bluff, police say.

The westbound lanes of the highway are shut down between Highway 2 and Highway 330.

Traffic in the area is being rerouted north to McGillivray Boulevard or south through the community of La Salle.

No further information has been provided about the crash or if there are any injuries.
