A Powerball player in the Bay Area just missed hitting the $740 million jackpot in Monday night's draw but still came away with more than $500,000 in winnings, according to the California Lottery.
A ticket matching the first five numbers in the Powerball draw was sold at the Manila Oriental Market at 950 King Drive in Daly City, the lottery said.
The winning numbers in Monday night's draw were 5-18-26-47-59 and the Powerball 1.
No jackpot tickets were sold in the multi-state Powerball draw, so the jackpot rises to an estimated $775 million for the next draw Wednesday, the lottery said.
The 5/5 ticket sold in Daly City was one of three sold across the U.S., with the others in Georgia and Illinois.
