Amy Schumer shared more details of her weight loss journey in an Instagram post early Tuesday, revealing she lost 50 pounds while fighting Cushing’s disease.

The “Trainwreck” star, 44, was first diagnosed with the disease in February 2024, after people noticed her face was unusually puffy .

“I didn’t lose 30 lbs., I lost 50 ,” Schumer wrote in her newest Instagram post. “Not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary. I did it to survive.”

Cushing’s disease occurs when the body carries too much of the stress hormone cortisol for an extended time. Symptoms include a rounder and puffier face, high blood pressure, bone loss and frail skin.
