FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — A Pennsylvania woman was arrested for stabbing a hospital staff member in the face with an ink pen in Spotsylvania County over the weekend. The sheriff's office says the attack was unprovoked.
Deputies responded to the Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center just after 3 a.m. on Sunday for a report of a stabbing. When deputies arrived, they found a broken pen and blood on the floor in the Emergency Room area. Deputies learned that someone sitting in the waiting room had become enraged and attacked a staff member, stabbing them multiple times with the pen in the head and face.
The staff member was able to fend off the attack and get to safety.
