Much-needed improvements to resurface and level "bumpy" tarmac along a town road have been hailed as "overdue" by those living on the street.
In November, this newspaper reported how Suffolk County Council's highways team had commissioned a planned machine surfacing scheme during the 2026/27 financial year in High Road East, Felixstowe.
The works are set to take place between the junctions with Golf Road and Quinton's Lane and will involve levelling and restoring the road.
Robert Walker, who has lived in the road since 1997, said: "That being said, the resurface of the road will definitely be a welcome improvement to the neighbourhood despite the works to make it happen and I’m sure most would welcome the plans and design once published."
