As new LSU head coach Lane Kiffin boarded his plane to Baton Rouge on Sunday, Ole Miss fans gathered outside the tarmac fence to boo him, jeer him and offer him a few choice words.
Some directed obscene gestures his way. Others, Kiffin said, followed him and his son Knox to the airport and tried to “run them off the road.”
Kiffin addressed those reactions on Monday, saying that he doesn’t “get emotional” about the vitriol he received for taking the LSU job and leaving the 11-1 Rebels behind ahead of their expected College Football Playoff run.
