A hero passer-by who was walking to the shop when he stopped a rape has been praised.
Hamzah Albar confronted would-be rapist Ian Hudson when he saw the sex offender attempt to carry out a horrific attack.
The Saudi Arabian student rang police but his mobile phone battery died during the 999 call so he decided to step in himself.
Mr Albar approached Hudson, grabbed him and pinned him down even though the convict was punching him in the face.
He then managed to flag down two members of the public who were driving past and they raised the alarm with police.
