PHOENIX – Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced Wednesday that the state is filing a consumer fraud lawsuit against discount e-tailer Temu.
The lawsuit, which was filed Tuesday in Maricopa County Superior Court, accuses the Chinese-owned online marketplace of unlawfully collecting data, violating customers’ privacy and selling counterfeit products.
Arizona brands such as the Arizona Cardinals, Fender Guitars, University of Arizona, Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University have been victimized by the company’s counterfeit goods, according to the suit.
