A man has been charged after police discovered a parcel allegedly containing a child-like sex doll.

The alleged buyer, aged 56, was arrested in Bouc-Bel-Air, France last month after employees of a parcel delivery company alerted police upon discovering a "child pornography doll" in a package from China .

Officers launched an investigation upon inspection of the parcel, which led to the man listed as the recipient being arrested and his home searched. The suspect has previously been convicted of sexual assault, according to prosecutors in Aix-en-Provence.
