SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - After Black Friday and Small Business Saturday comes a way to help give to your own community. It’s called Giving Tuesday.
Tuesday, Dec 2, is “Giving Tuesday,” and it was created in 2012, encouraging people to do something good on an annual date.
It’s now become a global movement, encouraging people to support non-profits in different ways, donating time, sharing talents, or providing financial support.
“Siouxland is such a generous community. It’s a time for those people who are interested in charitable giving to really reach out to those nonprofits and be proactive in supporting them,” said Katie Roberts, with Siouxland Community Foundation.
