TOWN OF HAMMOND, New York (WWNY) - A pregnant Hammond woman went to the hospital Monday evening after the car she was driving was rear-ended by another vehicle.
State police said 22-year-old Cheyenne Evans was on State Route 12 in the town of Hammond and slowed to make a left turn.
According to troopers, 37-year-old Christopher Reynolds of Ogdensburg crashed into the back of Evans’ vehicle.
Police said Reynolds told them he looked down and didn’t see Evans’ car slow down.
Evans, who is pregnant, was taken to Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center for back pain. She was treated and released.
Reynolds was not hurt. He issued vehicle and traffic tickets.
