TAWAS CITY – A rare Sunday game and some bad weather didn’t stop the Tawas Area from picking up a road victory. The Braves were playing down at the Mid-Michigan Raptors in Mt. Pleasant, and they won the contest convincingly, 5-1.
“Any win is a good win, and when you can win a game and still have a lot to learn from it is always better than learning from a loss,” head coach Matt Buresh said. “It was just an unusual game, we were good in stretches and fell off in others and I think maybe the holiday was a big part of that.”
The Braves led the game 2-0 after the first period and netted two more goals in the second to push that gap to 4-0 entering the third.
Tawas had Charlie Schnettler score two goals, while Zack Miller, Jack Jensen and Clay Briggs had one goal apiece.
