Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award winner and Academy Award nominee Cynthia Erivo started off the new era of the Plaza Theatre with a bang on Monday, Dec. 1.

The crooner sang a medley of "songs I love," she said, which featured classics from Aretha Franklin, Annie Lennox, Prince and John Lennon. Her concert, which was the opening night show at the newly restored Palm Springs Plaza Theatre, brought in a nearly sold-out crowd of hundreds of fans.
