Officers have released images of five people they would like to trace after a young man was attacked before a football match. At around 2pm on Saturday, August 16, police received a report of a disturbance at Pelaw Metro Station on Green Lane.

It was reported that a group of around 20 people, believed to be West Ham football fans, had assaulted a man on the platform ahead of the Sunderland AFC v West Ham fixture at the Stadium of Light .
