Hamilton County Prosecutor Greg Garrison will step down from his role later this month over medical concerns, his office announced on Dec. 2.

"Serving this community has been the greatest honor of my career," Garrison said in a news release.

Dec. 20, 2025, will be his last day in office. Josh Kocher, currently the chief deputy prosecutor, will take the helm as interim prosecutor. The Hamilton County Republican Party did not immediately respond to a request for comment about succession plans.
