A 55-year-old man was fatally ejected and pinned under his vehicle after a Monday rollover crash in York County, the coroner’s office said.

Roger D. Loop was headed south on Winterstown Road in North Hopewell Township around 11:45 a.m. when he swerved off the road and crashed into a utility pole, Coroner Pam Gay said in a Tuesday news release.

Loop, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle when it rolled after impact, Gay said. He was found pinned under the wreckage and pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force injuries.

His death was ruled accidental. No other vehicles or people were involved.

North Hopewell Township police are investigating the crash. Authorities have not said what might have caused Loop to crash.
