KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - One person died and one person was injured in the crash that shut down I-40 in Loudon County Monday night, according to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report obtained by WVLT News.

It happened around 6:40 p.m., according to the report, when a motorcycle driver, 25-year-old Devin Pohl, hit the back wheels of a tractor-trailer. Both the motorcyclist and truck driver were headed east near mile marker 366, the report said.
The bump caused Pohl to crash into the interstate’s median, the report said.
Pohl died in the crash, according to the report, and the tractor-trailer driver was hurt. No charges are expected for the tractor-trailer driver.
