ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
Albuquerque city councilors voted to spend $2 million to replace dying grass at city parks.
Councilor Dan Lewis introduced the proposal earlier this year, saying the turf across the city is dying.
He added overgrown weeds have made parks unsafe.
Councilors approved the measure during their meeting on Monday night.
