MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. —

A man is facing charges after someone reported him asleep in a vehicle outside their North Carolina home.

Deputies with the McDowell County Sheriff's Office said they were called on Nov. 26 to the home.

They said they found Gavin Michael Terry, 22, of Nebo, asleep in his vehicle in the caller’s driveway.

They said Terry had two outstanding warrants against him, including a felony probation violation out of Alexander County.

A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up suspected amounts of fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.

Terry was charged with drug possession and given no bond due to pretrial release.
