The City of Boca Raton Police Services Department confirmed Tuesday that Carlito Milfort — better known as rapper Poorstacy — “passed away, stemming from an incident that occurred at 2899 N. Federal Hwy” on Saturday.

A Quality Inn hotel is located at that Florida address .

TMZ reported Monday that the 26-year-old performer is believed to have died by suicide in a Boca Raton hotel where he’d been staying for about 10 days. Authorities didn’t confirm an official a cause of death.

Poorstacy was reportedly staying at the hotel with a woman and a toddler when he was rushed to an area hospital for a medical emergency. No one else was reported injured.
